Hour 021

This card is from SVS How to Draw Everything.

This lesson lesson is practice on using line to convey different types of boxes. Many of the boxes look similar in my example, but I was exploring with different brushes in Photoshop to see what effects I could create. I’ll use this example again for a shading exercise. I’ll mark this one as easy.

Next time I will try this in Procreate as well. I would also like to try using some of the line tools to get sharper lines vs the look of hand drawn lines.

I did 30 minutes practice and then 30 minutes to complete this image.

Hour 020

Trying this lesson in Photoshop this time around. The point of the lesson is to learn to see and replicate simple shapes in estimated perspective. It’s not about being exact, but trying to use some guidelines to see things and try to keep them in rough perspective. It’s also a great warmup. I know my shapes aren’t perfect, but I will still mark this one as easy.

I can incorporate this as a warmup, on paper, Photoshop or in Procreate.

I did about an hour of doodling while catching up on Minecraft videos!
