I love Star Wars, Minecraft, cats, and birds. I wear a lot of purple. I am an extreme morning person.
Grenbug is my gamer name. I say ‘gamer’ but I only play one game – Minecraft. I love the creative and technical aspect of the game.
I am building my art skills to be able to draw things that I build in Minecraft.
I’m starting to use my own artwork for my avatar on YouTube and other social media. I’m not very good at it yet, but I enjoy the challenge. And I’ll get better.
Current Avatar
I tend to try a new Grenbug drawing every fall and if I like it, it becomes my new avatar. This is a scanned watercolor and ink drawing, so it’s not the best resolution, but I really love it. It came out great and I knew this was going to be my new avatar for the rest of 2026. I feel like this is closest to the Grenbug character.
This is a crop from a full piece that really came out great, I really love it. I would have made the lettering better, but there’s always next time!

I drew this avatar myself. I felt that since I call myself an artist, I should at least attempt to draw my own avatar. But, I’m not very good at drawing characters yet. They aren’t my focus. Actually, my struggle is often finding a focus when drawing. I want to do everything, which means I’m not good at any one thing.
This came out ok, but I’m not good enough yet to have a full vision of what I want, and then make it happen. Every drawing is like a discovery of what’s going to happen. So, it’s ok, but not really what I wanted.

I hate to include this because it’s so bad, but literally, this was my first time drawing a character. I never wanted to get into character drawing, but I made myself do it anyway, and… well, it’s pretty bad, but it worked for a while. This is why I quickly got help from Willow on a better drawing.
I’m including this to show the progression of my skills. I am getting better! 🙂
