This card is from 21 Draw Learn to Draw in 21 days (season 1): Spheres.
This lesson is an intro to spheres, which I have done many times, but I like the approach. It’s all about relaxed fun instead of trying to be precise. I’m a perfectionist as it is, so being more playful is a fun approach to learning. This also has you add elements that will actually help with composition – such as keeping the horizon line and adding it to your drawing, and adding fun elements to keep things relaxed, fun and surprising. I’m really liking the class so far.
Next time I will play with size and shape a little more, could make elongated spheres or twisting shapes if that is more fun. It’s fun adding little characters too.
Col-erase pencil and fine liner on letter size copy paper.
I did the lesson and this practice piece in about an hour.
